The clients wanted to have a super sleek space with lots of serious cooking equipment, so we specified German Handleless Cabinetry including bespoke Copper Metallic Lacquer doors from Italy. We specified the BORA Classic with 2 x Flex Induction zones; the ducting for this needed to be planned into the project really early as the ducting needed to be chased into the concrete floor. The clients were also really into their wine, so a large wine cooler was a must-have, as well as the bespoke separate glass wine cellar created in the living space. The worktops needed to be hard wearing and due to the sort of cooking the clients do, needed to be heat resistant. Bearing this in mind, we specified a Ceramic Composite “Dekton Entzo”, this allows hot pans to be put straight down after coming off the hob. The clients were really into their smart home technology, so we partnered up with “IndigoZest” who supplied a full home automation solution. The space had a wall of glass down one side with amazing views, so the orientation of the island seating was designed to make the most of the views. The clients don’t have any children, so they wanted a really cool entertaining space, and as they both work abroad, it was very important that it was really easy to keep clean and have storage for everything that they needed, as it would be in cupboards a lot of the time.
